Key responsibilities
What you’ll own
- Handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
- Represent clients in acquisitions and dispositions.
- Advise lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate finance matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents.
- Assist with joint ventures, REITs, and real estate fund transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk analysis.
- Collaborate with partners and clients on high-value transactions.
- Manage multiple matters while meeting client deadlines.
Requirements
Who qualifies
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- 3–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
- Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Experience representing lenders and borrowers in finance transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Active New York or Massachusetts Bar admission, or eligibility for admission.
Does not qualify if:Less than three years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
Primary experience limited to litigation or non-transactional legal work.
No experience with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, or finance.
Inability to obtain admission to the New York or Massachusetts Bar.
Insufficient academic or professional credentials for a sophisticated transactional practice.
