Key responsibilities

What you’ll own

  • Handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients in acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Advise lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate finance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents.
  • Assist with joint ventures, REITs, and real estate fund transactions.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and risk analysis.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients on high-value transactions.
  • Manage multiple matters while meeting client deadlines.
Requirements

Who qualifies

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • 3–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
  • Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Experience representing lenders and borrowers in finance transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Active New York or Massachusetts Bar admission, or eligibility for admission.
Does not qualify if:Less than three years of commercial real estate transactional experience. Primary experience limited to litigation or non-transactional legal work. No experience with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, or finance. Inability to obtain admission to the New York or Massachusetts Bar. Insufficient academic or professional credentials for a sophisticated transactional practice.
